Seattle Sunshine...

After we saw the "big kids" off to the Woodland Park Zoo this morning on the city bus we packed a picnic lunch for ourselves and headed to Lincoln Park for the morning. Reid, Finn, and Layla relaxed and observed on the walk there. We waved at people, dogs, birds, buses, trucks, and construction equipment. We met a friendly golden retriever, Lucy, and her owner who came up close so we could pet her. We played on the playground equipment, swung in the swings, and had our picnic in the grassy field right next to a construction site. As we ate our lunch we watched a backhoe and an electric truck (w/ flashing lights) work nearby. Reid and Finn both really loved the pita with hummus and banana. When we got back to the house we filled the water table up and splashed around a bit. By then we were all tuckered out from playing hard in the Seattle sunshine so we headed off to nap....

Sensory Tub- exploring w/ Os

Sensory time is fun and valuable play for young toddlers. Here Finn and Reid learn about sound, volume, and texture. They explore filling and dumping and learn the concepts of "in" and "out". Besides all that- it's FUN!

GRACE & LAYLA-
They follow each other around, "talk" to each other, and lately they've been "kissing", which is really adorable! I am so glad they are going to grow up to be such good friends.
