As the weather gets colder and the leaves have all almost fallen from their trees, we can take this opportunity to explore the science of turning water into ice with a few simple ingredients that we have already, water & paint!
Each preschooler chose two primary colors to mix together with our water and learned about creating new colors. Red and yellow make orange. Blue and yellow make green. Blue and red make purple. We also experimented with white and black paint to make our color shades lighter and darker.
Look at all of the different color combinations we came up with! We put all of them in the freezer and we will re-visit this project tomorrow to see what we can do with this frozen ice paint.
