The toddlers started off class time this morning with a mixed-media art project using paper, paint dobbers, stamps and stamp pads, and crayons. By providing them each with only a few supplies at one time and rotating their choices frequently, the toddlers have a much longer attention span for their art projects.
Pipe cleaners and large buttons provided an opportunity for little hands and fingers to strengthen and challenge their fine motor abilities.
One of our awesome Tiny Tribe graduates, Dorothy, will be here this week to assist us. She is seven years-old and will be entering into second grade this Fall. The toddlers and preschoolers were very excited to have her here to help today.
We finished up our morning with a neighborhood walk to check out the animals at Petco and the many neighborhood construction sites at work.
