Sailing away- The Simplest Things

We added a few boxes and some empty laundry baskets to the classroom this morning. The kids immediately set their imaginations to work and created boats to sail around the classroom in. They spotted whales and dolphins in the water all around them. They even made fishing poles with tinker toys and pretended to fish for their lunches. Sometimes the simplest props can create wonderful playscapes for their imagination.
