Yellow Oval, Yellow Oval- What do you see?

Most of us are familiar with the author, Eric Carle, and his book, "Brown Bear, Brown Bear." We re-created our own book about shapes and colors by using the familiar lyrical pattern of the Eric Carle books that the children already know.

Myla pointed to the yellow oval and practiced saying the colors and shapes throughout the book.
"Yellow oval. Yellow oval. What do you see?"
"I see a pink heart looking at me."

Austin showed us the pink heart and pointed out some other items around the classroom that were also pink.
"Pink heart. Pink heart. What do you see?"
"I see a blue diamond looking at me."

Nolan found the blue diamond in our book and noticed that his own shirt was also blue.
"Blue diamond. Blue diamond. What do you see?"
"I see a black semi-circle looking at me."
