We started our beloved full body cut-outs of the kiddos this week :) They all got a kick out of getting traced and seeing their outlines on paper. We talked about how each of one of them is a special and different person and then invited them to decorate their outlined bodies in their own unique way. We gave suggestions for them to draw in their facial features but then they were left with their sense of creative self expression to use the tools on hand to design the rest.
Chase got busy coloring himself blue to match the blue jeans and shirt he was wearing.
Austin filled his body image up with purple polka dots, keeping primarily in the lines of his body this year.
Lena used the markers and then found the pink dobber. She was excited to make herself pink.
Myla drew her face and was thrilled that Lena wanted to share the "dark" pink dobber with her.
Eva made tiny dots for her eyes, nose, and mouth and used big colorful strokeson the rest of her body.
Bodhi drew his face first and even gave himself a chin, or is that a goatee like his dad?
Next he use yellow to help represent the Batman symbol he had on his shirt today.
Kaya was very interested in what everyone was doingso after checking out everyone else's work she made her own face and had fun with the dobbers on her body outline.
Anna Lee loved coloring with the markers on her body, outline making several back and forth swirly lines and using different colors.
