Today, the Centipedes covered two completely different topics during circle time and classroom time! We decided that today was a good day to go over our monthly fire safety exercises and to work more with the leaves and acorns we were using earlier this week.

For class time, we brought out the leaves and acorns that we started sorting and gathering early this week. The kids first sorted the acorns from the leaves, and then delineated the different colors of leaves from there. Below is a video of Kaya and Eva sorting the leaves.

After Kaya and Eva sorted the leaves and acorns from each other, another group of Centipedes (Chase, Austin, Lena, and and Myla) sorted the leaves into piles of the same color.
