Every morning we ask the Centipedes, "Who wants to set the table for breakfast"? This morning the beetles jumped up and went straight to the bathroom to wash their hands. (That's what the Centipedes do before setting the table.) The beetles worked together to make sure that in front of each seat there was a plate, spoon and cup.
Self-reliance builds confidence, eventually the beetles will be able to do things for themselves with minimal to no help from adults. Knowing that they succesfully acomplished a task is one of the main building blocks of their self-esteem and confidence. 
Chloe decided she first wanted to put the spoons on the table and when she was done she helped Katy put a cup by each plate. Zoe helped Victoria put one spoon in each plate. Wiley also helped put the plates on the table. When they were done the beetles sat down to eat their breakfast. They were all very proud of themselves for their achievement!
