Foam Roller Painting

Painting allows the kids to experiment with different textures, designs and for them to choose freely what picture they want to make. Through the year they start to use drawing materials, finger paints, and play dough with greater control. As eye-hand coordination improves, painting, drawing, and play dough forms shape and are given names.

Lena notices the handle on this paint roller has ridges on the side, to help her grip the brush and have more control over her strokes.

Austin had fun making different shapes with the roller by controlling the pressure he put on the brush.

Kaya had fun dipping the roller in the paint and making lines and drops with the extra paint.

Anna Lee chose to push down on her roller all over the paper.

Nolan experimented mixing the colors together to cover his paper.
