We have many different types of blocks in the classroom and they usually get played with every day. Today during free play, Eva (2), Myla (3), and Layla (3.5) worked together to build a large water slide park.
Eva worked diligently, stacking blocks on top of blocks until the structure was very high.
Myla and Layla discussed how the structure would be used by their little people. They pretended water sprayed out from the sides, water slides were going down through the middle, and stairs were needed to get up to the top.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the room, the boys are working together to build a fire station garage to hold all of their vehicles. Nolan (3), Finn (4), and Eli (4) used the cardboard bricks to make the walls.
They created a doorway large enough for the vehicles to get through and moved the airplane, school bus, car transporter, and fire engine inside to be protected, in case there was a fire all around.
