Centipedes Exploring Class time

Every morning the Centipedes enjoy "class time" in the kitchen for 45 minutes. We typically set up five to six different activities around the room and allow the kids freedom to explore each station as they wish. Some children choose to spend the entire class time working on one activity and other kids move quickly through each one. Our preschoolers are exposed to all types of activities daily, but they are allowed to choose to focus on their own interests. We give them the freedom to use materials in as many imaginative ways that they can come up with and try to avoid pressuring them to do things one "right" way.
