This is week we are working on discovering water and how it is all around us. Today, we created an ocean for our fish. We talked about how fish live in the water and how they need it to survive. Kate began her fish painting by makings dots with her paint. During circle time, Kate and Wiley attempted to make a fish face.
We used different shades of blue and placed our fish in our "water" before it dried.
During circle time we learned the sign language for water. (Making a W with your fingers near your mouth).
Katy tried a different approach to begin her fish painting. She dipped her paintbrush into the paint and made long brush strokes across her paper. We talked about how big bodies of water can make big waves as well. During circle time Katy signed "water" for her friends.
