During our class time today, the Beetles created art using cotton balls, sponges and stamps. They each started off with cotton balls and noticed how different the paint can be applied to their paper, using objects other than paintbrushes.
Grant enjoyed running the cotton ball across the paper. The cotton balls couldn't hold too much paint, so he was eager to get a new one for each color.
Katy's favorite was the sponge. She had fun pushing the sponge onto her paper and watching it create a rigid texture onto her page.
Sam loved the stamps, they made a nice and neat mark on his paper. He chose to dip the paint in each color and decorate his paper with smiley faces.
Kate liked using the cotton balls to paint her paper as well. She dipped the cotton ball in all the colors and dabbed it onto her paper. She noticed that the more paint she used on the cotton ball, the thicker the paint would look on her paper.
The Beetles had fun experimenting with all three painting utensil choices. Each Beetles painting had different textures and colors.
