The Centipedes went out on walk with clip boards, paper, and crayons to start making their treasure map. We had a couple of treasures with us to hide in the neighborhood and they had their "maps" to make notes and draw on. After a few days they will go out with their maps in hands and see if they can find their hidden treasures by using the clues on our maps.

They started off by counting their steps to our first landmark.

Myla stopped and drew a picture of one of our landmark trees and then started to note the construction site we stopped at along the way.
Lena helped find spots to hide the treasure.
They worked together to place the treasure just right so it was hidden but they could still find it someday.
The lavender along the way was a nice pit stop and a good marker to put on their map.
When we were back in the yard, they enjoyed playing in the tent and having a new fort/shelter set up to play in. They followed directions to find another treasure, leading them around the yard and over the climber and back inside. To wash their hands in the waterfall, find a toad stool to sit on and eat a delicious treasure of a meal of tacos, tomatoes, and corn.
