Moving to a new school is an exciting idea for preschoolers but it can also be a little scary too. Today we rode the bus up to the Alaska Junction to explore our new school and our new neighborhood a little. We walked down the sidewalk to the door of our new school to see where we would be coming in with our moms and dads. There is a special window at our new school that will be a perfect place for us to say goodbye at... just like our old school!
We found a new table and chairs that was just our perfect size at our new school. We sat down for a snack of apples and pretzels in our new kitchen.
There were lots of open spaces to run in and explore. We talked about our different ideas for setting up the classroom and decided where we should put our blocks, our art supplies, and our dramatic play toys.
Our classroom loft, just a little bit shorter than we remembered it, was all ready for us to climb on and under. We will visit our new school a few more times this week so that all of our friends will get a chance to explore our new learning space.
