Just a few blocks down the road from Tiny Tribe, nestled on a little hillside behind some tennis courts, is our neighborhood community garden. These community gardens, called P-Patches, can be found in just about every neighborhood in Seattle. They are small plots of land that are donated to local residents who live in apartments or condos and don't have their own space to grow.
It is a wonderful place for our toddlers and preschoolers to explore the different Seasons, plants, flowers, insects, and decorative art pieces.
The kids love climbing the winding path to the top of the gardens to look down on the view below.
Myla really wants to climb as high as the big kids.
We're on top of the world!
The preschoolers decided to climb even higher today. They headed up the path to Solstice Park with Jena while Ashley and Carrie took the toddlers back home in the buggy.
From the top of Solstice park we could see Lincoln park, the Puget Sound, and the mountains.
